Oh My Strawberry Monkey…

Strawberry Monkey finds himself in so some awful situations. We were lucky enough to win the first Strawberry Monkey book: ” Strawberry Monkey Loves The Sun” in an instagram competition and from the first time we read it Ellie just loved it. She loves listening to the story and finding the different things on the page. I must admit I also found the story extremely funny, maybe its the fact I live with a ginger-haired husband who has been known to get burnt in the rain, but I just laughed so much.

Strawberry Monkey Loves The Sun is obviously about a monkey who ends up being outside so much he gets burnt.

I was so excited when we were gifted the second Strawberry Monkey book: “Stop Eating!” and once again I laughed so much while reading it to Ellie. This time strawberry monkey ends up eating too much and his buttons pop on his trousers.

I admit I absolutely love these storybooks, Ellie loves how vibrant the pictures are and I love that even childrens story books can help instill those key morals we all need to learn such as friendship and healthy eating. Both stories teach children that to be happy and healthy they must do certain things and I am hoping the first book will help us when Ellie understands she needs to wear sunscreen when it is hot (shes ginger…she’s gonna have to get used to it.)
