The October Blog Tag

Every now and then you find a group of bloggers who want to support each other and i’ve got to say it is very rare at the moment! However when I was tagged for The October Blog Tag by the lovely Cheryl it showed there are some fantastic and very supportive bloggers out there!

But first; What is a blog tag?
I actually didn’t know so I was glad Cheryl included a little bit of info on her own. A blog tag is where there are a set of questions you must answer and then tag other bloggers to join in.

The October Blog Tag!

What is your favourite colour?
My favourite colour is most probably black. I know most people will tell me black isn’t a colour it is a shade however most of my clothes are black. For those people who won’t accept black, purple is my second.

What did you do today?
Today was a full day at work where I am a support assistant and I currently support 3 children who are on the ASD spectrum. I finished work at 3, to go pick Ellie up, drive home, cook tea and then it was bath time. Ellie has been incredibly grumpy since bringing her home and so bath time was nice as she had lots of fun splashing. Hubby isn’t feeling too well so I have tried to do a bit more however he did wash up for me.

Where are you currently?
I am currently in the living room half watching Vikings with hubby.

What is your star sign?
Aquarious – 13th February

Cake or Ice cream?
That is a tough one! I guess it is most probably cake as there are so many options.

Frozen or Moana?
Moana! I absolutely love that film and the music is great. I enjoyed frozen and the songs but I think Moana has such a great storyline and it has Dwayne Johnson singing!

A night in or a night out?
I hate having to go on a night out and I probably haven’t been out drinking since my hen night. I’d much rather be comfy in my pjs and slippers with a drink of pepsi and some crisps than have to stress about what to wear or put make up on.

Home cooked meal or takeaway?
Depends on my mood, I do like cooking however rarely do it properly, yet sometimes you just fancy a big dirty takeaway.

Pineapple on pizza or no pineapple on pizza?
Yeah why not.

Books or films?
I’d have to say films, I haven’t been able to read properly since Jason died, the idea of submerging myself in to a novel would be like denying my own story. Although saying that if this was about children’s books then I would say they would be my first choice.

Autumn or spring?
Autumn is my all time favourite season; it is the most exciting time of the year as it brings Ellie’s birthday and the build up to christmas. I love taking Ellie on walks crunching all the leaves underneath her.

Flowers or chocolates?
Chocolates! Flowers make me sneeze.

Full fat or diet coke?
I’m not a big lover of Coke however I do drink more Pepsi Max than I probably should.

Phone or laptop?
Phone for most things but Laptop for blogging!

What is your current favourite TV series?
FRIENDS. We have watched every episode in order while having tea for the past few months, it is such an easy and funny series.

What is your favourite thing to do in October?
Autumn walks ❤

What is your current food to crave?
Popcorn. Sweet Popcorn.

Do you have any piercings or tattoos?
I do have my ears pierced from a child but they have healed. I have a tattoo across the top of my back which started off as a music symbol that forms a heart and then I added two beauty and the beast roses either side. They mean so much to me as my dad did them.

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

Introvert…I have a great dislike for people.

What is your all time favourite Halloween film?
Nightmare Before Christmas

Name your top 3 favourite artists/bands.
I’m not sure I could choose. I have such a varied taste of music ranging from AC/DC and Atreyu to Busted, Ed Sheeran, Pink and a little bit of country mixed in there too.

Have you got any plans for Halloween?
We will be celebrating Ellie’s second birthday with lunch with my in-laws and tea with my parents. We aren’t big on Halloween so I’d rather do something for her.

Do you have any fears?
Spiders. I jump at the first sight of them and my heart stops even if there is just a shadow of movement in the corner of my eye. My only other fear is losing Ellie or Luke. I have felt the pain of my own child dying and I know I wouldn’t survive it happening again.

Do you believe in life after love?
Yes, because I have seen it however I never want to feel that life.

Do you have any children? (or animals you treat as your babies)?
I have 2, Jason and Ellie

What do you want for your future?
To not have to worry about the future. To be able to watch Ellie grow up and be the best Mum to both her and Jason that I can be.

Be honest, why did you start blogging?
To find a way to channel my grief and my own thoughts in the months after Jason died. I wasn’t able to talk to close family or even friends as I worried they wouldn’t want to listen to me go over it all again and so I starting writing it all down.

What is your biggest achievement so far?
My family ❤ without them I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

What are your ambitions with your blog?
To help raise awareness of life after the death of your child. To know that somehow my story has helped someone else who has unfortunately found themselves in my situation.

If there is one thing you’d like to change about your blog what would it be?
The time I have to spend on it mainly.

Have you achieved any blog goals you set out to do this year?
I didn’t really set myself any goals however as my blog has progressed I did like the idea of writing my own christmas gift guide which I have done and will be published next week.

Where do you want to be in 10 years time?
As long as I am with Luke and Ellie and we are happy I don’t care where we will be or what I am doing.

What is your dream holiday?
Disney Land Florida

If you had an entire day to yourself what would you do?
Probably laundry!

I tag:
Tantrums To Smiles
Mud & Tutus
Thoughts with N
Dirt, Diggers & Dinosaurs
Uterus Monologues
The Coastal Mummy
