We’ve got a climber!

HELP!

Ellie has been climbing the stairs for a what seems like a while now, probably a few weeks, and she has always been confident on her feet. She is also very quiet so can be up 3 steps before we have even got to her!

This afternoon Ellie hit another milestone; she climbed on to the sofa completely on her own. And now we really cant just leave her. She is up on the arm of the chair any chance she gets and has for the past 2 days been throwing herself off the arm and on to the cushion on the sofa. Im so worried she will hurt herself if she tries it when im not there but also dont want to hinder her development by not allowing her to climb.

How did other mums deal with a sudden sofa climber?

  1. How exciting!! Try bouncers, walkers, doorway bouncers, baby pens. With my first our baby pen was great, I could be in the kitchen cooking and cleaning and watch him in it through the door xx
